Local Adaptation to Climate Change (LACC) Project is looking for qualified candidates for several open job positions in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces

The Local Adaptation to Climate Change (LACC) Project works for land use planning and management, integrated water and forest resources management, environmental conservation and management, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces. The 5-year-long project was launched in Nepal on December 2024. Read more on LACC Project on the About section on our website.

We are now recruiting for several open job positions in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. All open positions with job descriptions, job specific requirements, application forms and CV templates are found on the job advertisement listing below.

All positions are for Nepali nationals only.

Please read carefully all instructions that are provided below on this advertisement and on each job specific advertisement.

The recruitment for these positions is open until 23.59 NPT on Saturday the 15th of February 2025. Late applications will not be considered.

Natural Resource Management Experts (12 positions; 5 years experience; some positions for fast-track recruitment starting this Fiscal Year; some to start later in the following FY)
Technical Officers (engineers/sub-engineers; number to be defined; fast-track recruitment for mobilizing this Fiscal Year)

Following general principles and procedures are applied in the recruitment of all open positions:

Applications for each open position must be submitted by using the Google Form application that is provided at the end of each job advertisement. Each applicant is allowed to submit only one application per position.
If the candidate applies several open job positions, they have to submit a separate job specific Google Form for each position.
Each candidate have to attach their CV in the application by using a specific CV template that is provided at each job advertisement page and at the end of this page. After modifying the CV, the candidate has to submit the CV in a PDF format in their application in a section specified in the Google From. Candidate has to change the CV file name by using their own name accordingly: "CV_lastname.firstname".
The applications and CVs that are done in any other formats or that are submitted through other channels, will not be considered in the recruitment.
Due to high number of applications, we are unable to respond to additional inquiries.
Applications sent after the closing date cannot be considered.
Applicants are not allowed to contact, with the purpose of influencing the selection, any present staff or member of recruitment team during the recruitment process. Such influencing attempts might lead to disqualification of the applicant.

Steps in the recruitment process:

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for interviews and job specific tests. All interviews and tests will be conducted physically in Surkhet in Karnali province.
The recruitment team might also reach out to wait listed applicants that might be invited for interviews and tests later.
Each shortlisted candidate must bring original versions of academic certificates, work experience letters and other certificates as listed in the CVs to the interview in Surkhet. If the information given in the CV and/or application form is misleading and supporting documents are not submitted, the candidate will be disqualified.

Below is the CV template to be filled and attached in the application form in a PDF format. The same template is provided in docx, odt and rtf formats and the applicant can choose to fill either of these. The same template is also provided in each job position advertisement page.
